Heat Wave Coincides With Beginning Of High School Sports Practice Another wave of summer heat is back in St. Louis, with the high Midwest humidity to go with it. Our latest round of sweltering summer heat coincides with the first day of practice for fall sports at Missouri high schools. Football practice at Parkway West started at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.
